The Harvest Shop Hop will occupy the week of September 23rd through October 1st. Stores will maintain their usual hours, detailed in the Passport. They will offer special sales to shop hoppers and collect passport ticket stubs for their own drawings.
Passports will be available August 1st for $10/person at any participating store. Stores will stamp passports and give hoppers one free fat quarter. Fully stamped passports are eligible for one of 22 gift certificates from participating retailers. Drawings from passports (complete or not) on Sat Oct 14; completed passports eligible for $25 gift certificates from host stores; incomplete passports receive consolation prizes.
Many shop hops promote a sampler made with a single line of fabric; hosts give away or sell mini-kits for single blocks. This is a Design-Your-Own alternative inspired by Eddie Walker's 4-patch Trips Around the World quilts (one-patch blocks cut 4.5" to finish 4"; 4-patch blocks cut from 2.5" strips to finish 4"). Hoppers can control their fat quarter collection to a certain extent -- autumn, Christmas, winter, flowers, hearts, horses, fish, foxes, birds, owls ... or experiment with color gradations.
Quilt will finish about 60x60 -- great size for gifting/good for community service also. Finished quilts loaned to the White Bluffs Quilt Museum by Thursday, December 28th, will be on display during January 2024 for viewers choice voting and prizes.
