TCQG’s Community Service team expedites the creation and delivery of comfort quilts to Board-approved local agencies. Traditionally, the number of quilts given by the Guild to local human service agencies is roughly equal to the number of our members. However, this does not mean that each member is expected to donate a completed quilt.
There are many ways to contribute independently:
There are also ways to team with other members or friends:
*Donations of tops and quilts should be identified with a Tracking Tag; download, print, and attach it to your completed top or quilt.
Occasionally, the Community Service tribe will select quilts to go on sale at While Bluffs. The proceeds of these sales go toward supplies such as batting, backing, and blenders.
Need (free) materials to complete a Guild community service project? The Guild Closet has material and batting. Pick from a rainbow of colors to create a top or back, take home a kit, or finish one with quilting or binding. There’s batting too!
Access to the Closet is currently by appointment only. Email Cyndy Underwood, Nancy Green, or Laurel Sutton to agree on a convenient rendezvous.
